Grey

Nephew has his first white hair. I discovered it at the mall when getting my glasses fixed. He's, what, five? He's getting it from my side of the family, probably, since my father had a generous sprinkling of white hairs by the time he'd graduated high school.

Hee. My mum, my sis, and most of the women on my mom's side of the family got grey hairs before they got out of high school. I my dad is in the mid-to-late-fifties, and is salt-and-peeper, mostly pepper. I have my dad's hair. Woohoo!

I had a white hair from about the age of 5... but then I didn't get any more until like 20. I have about 3 of them now. :)

Both sides of my family have fairly good pigmentation longevity. My mom is starting to get a few than she had, but not a lot, and she's 52. My great-aunt on my dad's side is 90, and she only has a few more than my mom. :) My grandfather on my mom's side did go fully white by 60 or so, but it was nice-looking. I wouldn't mind being all white either, except I think white hair doesn't hold dye all that well because of its change in texture and all that.

Ah... yeah, me too. It's a btich. I envy people with nice, light, mousy brown hair... so much easier to dye over. Rawr.

Heh, I have fake blonde streaks! Not for much longer, tho. I think I'm going to dye over them tonight with semi-permanent red, and then in a few weeks for DragonCon I am stripping my hair and dyeing it all blood red. Wheeeeeee...
