Hook, line, and gamebook
Dawn and I have been plotting long and hard what, exactly, we could do to arrange some sort of social event for the general vicinity of graduation that would involve Darkside. We agreed that she should pitch it. She gave me the perfect straight line entrance, today, to the topic. She mentioned graduation, and I asked her what her plans were.
She immediately asked Darkside if he were game for getting together that night, but then remembered the other thing about graduation: hordes and hordes of well-wishing family descending, and reluctantly decided that the get-together would have to be some other night. They fussed over the calender and decided on Halloween. Her place was out: her mother would mind; Darkside's place was out: it was too far away. "Do you think it would be OK if we did this at your place?" Dawn asked, as that had been our original plan.
Darkside's face lit at the prospect of an anime and gaming night in an apartment with a large TV and a PS2 handy. Neighbor will be back in town by that time. Dawn brought up the topic of what would be the variety of refreshments; Darkside made it clear that alcohol, or being around same, was not his idea of a great time. That concept was cool with everybody; I'm generally not getting too particularly drunk; I far prefer sparkling cider. (Seriously. I do.)
Furthermore, we're going to all meet up at my place and do breakfast on graduation day.
Darkside and Dawn narrowed our campaign down to BESM; Darkside's thinking a horror theme, no hammers.
Giggle, giggle, giggle. Ron commented that perhaps something else besides just the strict RPG might wind up happening. I swear, the man's getting as bad about teasing as Red Sandlewood. Dawn will be an excellent chaparone; she knows that my intentions towards Darkside are honorable.
