Morning: Darkside
Sang with Darkside this morning. He can carry a tune, but only in a bucket; that is to say, when he is trying to carry a tune, he can, but it is difficult for him.
Darkside so has my number: he knows how he could severely piss me off. He hasn't, though, for which I'm both profoundly grateful and no little concerned.
This morning I was writing in my notebook huffily, then slammed it shut. Darkside inquired; I told him I was pissed off.
"Not at me, I hope...?"
"No, not at you. I don't think you could piss me off."
Darkside made the "I'm kidding" face and said, "Joan, this is my new girlfriend..." indicating the empty air.
Yeah, he knows me. Too well. I told him it would depend on who she was. If I could be sisterfriends with her, as I was and am with Votania, I'd be fine. If not... then... not.
I am wondering, though, if his perception of my feelings towards him are high on the list of the factors in the way of his having another relationship. Does he believe that if he dated again, I'd stop being friends with him? Does he think it'll hurt me too much?
It's worth asking about, and talking about deeply.
