Depression, dealing with

If I'm depressed, tell me to wash and brush my hair.

If you're not sure how I'm feeling, look at my hair. The shinier, generally the happier. Hair that's been disarranged from recent exercise and there hasn't been opportunity to brush it is exempt from the rules. Hair being down tends to be a better sign than hair up.

I wonder if most depressed people would be as okay as you are with being told to wash/brush their hair, or if they would feel offended. I've noticed it to be a good indicator with one of my friends and always figured that telling him to bathe was a good idea, so I have, but with some misgivings about hurting his feelings. I guess I could always ask...

My hair never gets greasy--it's naturally so dry that I think I'd have to go a week without washing it before itwould do that, and I work out too much to even consider going more than a day or two... it gets messy and unkempt within a matter of minutes of being groomed, however, so the status of it isn't much of indicator of anything, or other than it being my hair.

Do you find my retarded little comments on your journal annoying? Since a lot of it it so personal, I often wonder if I have any business commenting.
