Regarding our convo the other night about the four "strikes" against him?
In which country was he primarily raised? This might explain the phantom fifth strike I kept trying to come up with. Or maybe it's because I have five fingers and I really wanted that round number.
Also, technically, 'Scotland' is a part of 'Britain'.
My accent is a Greenock accent. It's noticeably different from an Edinburgh accent, vastly different from, say, an Islay accent. It's also not quite the same as a Glasgow accent, but I can pass as Glaswegian, since it's /almost/ the same.

He spent significant time abroad (military brat) so he can do British, Scottish, and Irish, very well.
Mmmmf.
His default accent is vaguely American, though.

There's not such thing as a 'British' accent. ;o)

His Scottish accent is similar to yours, only not quite so heavy.
Neither of them would probably sound utterly authentic to you, as it's been a while for him.

Was his father stationed at the base at Holy Loch?
I'm thinking to think of other US military bases here... that one was near my home town, so it's the only one I know.

He spent more time in Germany.
