Speaking of walking, are you up enough on local news to know that Phoenix is in imminent danger of facing a bus strike? I know you rely on the bus to get to work. Crossing my fingers the union doesn't strike, but I hope you can arrange alternate transportation just in case?

I remember you didn't know about the (unnecessary) boil-water advisory. So just seeing if you knew about this. :)

Actually, home is close enough to work that taking a bus would just be silly. Though I do need the bus for writers' group and plasma and shopping at Sprouts. (Yum, Sprouts. Which is where I'm headed now.)

And they have signs up at work, because so many of us ride the bus. Striking bus drivers would be just horrible.

I'll be hitting them tomorrow night, since tonight was Walmart shopping in Scottsdale. On the way back, I took a picture of the FLW monolith. Now if I can find my card reader or a USB cable, I'll upload them. I just need daytime shots, but it's not nearly as cool during the day. At night it's blue glowy spikey anime sword. ;)

*drools* Too bad I loaded up at Fry's Wednesday. I'll probably get some Tuesday morning, even if I have to walk there and back in this weather. Cherries for cheap are worth my time and sweat.

They're generally at least $2/lb around here. It's the sales that we're catching.

Indeed. Living in Alaska and adoring cherries is worse. I can't remember a price much lower than $3/lb there.

It's been open again for maybe a month now? It is not as good as the one that was there before, and the prices are higher, but maybe it won't go out of business.
