We don't have CD drives. At all. Any form of removable or insertable media drive is unnecessary for the job function of the phone goons, and would encourage breaking or attempts to crack.
The only thing close to that is the USB ports, which will read drives similar to the Loony Stick. And from what I hear from the Plaid Tech, they're really hard to disable short of hot-glue, unplugging on the inside, or something else at a hardware level.
Instead of a CD drive, there's either a port that a drive will slide into (on the HP boxen) or a blank plastic piece fitting over the hole where the drive would have been (Dell). And this gets ... played with.
