In my head I have a fictional cultural taboo against touching a conductive surface with more than one body part at a time. This was for safety, but went meta.

It's not necessarily my taboo -- it was for a culture that doesn't exist. I'm merely the person who has to walk around harboring it and thinking of it every time I touch the security keypad that shocks me.
