The standard wine bottle size is 750ml. I know this because you get a 10% discount at my store if you buy 6 or more in one transaction.

No, it's just for "6 or more", so you get 10% off per bottle if you buy 6 or 60. It's a pretty good idea if you drink much, especially since they don't have to be the same.
