Going silver

As I discovered in the shower this morning, I am starting to shed very fine silver hairs in addition to the usual dark ones. Which become functionally invisible when wet.

Oh, the joys I will have when attempting to spot the hair I can absolutely feel tickling my arm when I move...

(I am extremely excited about the prospect of white and silver hair, because it's going to be glittery AF, and also much easier to dye blue.)

Bonus dream: I nearly fell into a 6'+ deep hole for a storm drain (the grating was at the bottom) and spent several minutes struggling my way out of danger. Purple arrived, hugged me, and played a video from a recent convention to distract me. In it, Richard Dawkins had been making an ass of himself and not responding to reason, so Purple decided to speak to him in a language perhaps he could understand.

[Video: "don't argue with an ibex", in which the host tries to ask questions of an ibex, who brays and spits as a response.]

This was hilarious and had the intended effect. (Both of making Dawkins huff off, and of cheering me up.) I awoke still upset from the mishap, but feeling loved.

It's great, isn't it? My silver hairs have been coming in for a couple of years now and are mostly evenly distributed, though they seem to be forming a silver streak above on ear that I am silently cheering on. I don't think they'll ever go completely grey - my mother's hasn't and she's in her late seventies, and my grandmother's hair was about 75% black to 25% white to the end - but they're super sparkly and pretty.

Also I approve of Purple's method for dealing with Dawkins.
