Things said to cats
"Let me give you some enrichment." *opens curtains behind couch where cat currently lounge*
"Ohhhhh, cheeeeek puffs!" (This is also said to 'Twerps and Easter Eggers. ('Twerps are Belgian d'Anvers bantams.))
"Get your TAIL out of my FACE." "I wouldn't grab your tail if you didn't keep PUTTING it in my FACE."
"I play with your EARS!" (She tolerates this because it usually accompanies cheek rubs. It's also so that in case we have to give her ear medication she will allow it rather than becoming a fury with Teeth.)
"You're baaaaaaaaaaby." (She's, like, 14.)
Yellface is Baby. Belovedest is Dear when I am making a slightly inconveniencing request of them. I haven't mixed it up the other way, but occasionally saying something cat-related addressed to Dear has caused massive confusion.
"Because you're a Cat! You are, you do, you shall, you must."
"Yes, yes, you want me covered properly, just a minute." (She refuses to sit on humans unless they are covered with a blanket, which she learned because when she sat on humans when they were in bed without a blanket, they would either kick her off to put a blanket on, or cover her with the blanket. She does not like being covered with a blanket.)
"__ minute!" (When she starts yelling for dinner before the appointed time.)
The sequence of three leg-slaps to invite Baby (Yellface) to sit on your lap is the same sequence that tells Gabrielle (Steph's dog) to come to you. This has caused hilarity at least once.
When Mila venture beyond Alex's door and particularly into any of the front rooms: "Ohhhh, you are a Brave! A Very Brave!"
Newly entered in the household glossary of noises: Repeated cardboard-edge crunching: Mila is doing an Engineering and probably should be stopped.
(She engineer! She mountaineer!)
The household sometimes speaks in a particularly Tumblr accent.

I do the "You are a tiny loudmouth!" to Hermes, who is the oldest cat in the house at 15 years old, and was the runt of the litter apparently, because is a Tiny Cat. (He also has very loud MAOS. :D
Some times aggrevating, but I love the tiny boy more than cheese.

Aaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha, this is what I tell them all the time. "Hello carnivores, here is some enrichment in your enclosure!" New toy, feather from outside, crunchy leaf, etc. (Feathers also get the "now you are my co-criminal in violating the migratory bird act, mwaha".)
