A punk band name generator on mp3.com in the 1990s gave me "Azure Lunatic", and I knew that was me. The proper style for formal events is: Reverend Azure Jane Lunatic, Azz for short. In the sense that your "real name" is the one you identify with and answer to, this is my real name. (The name on my ID is something else. I use that one for work and taxes, and not much else.) I use "lunatic" in the context of reclaiming. I haven't fully fine-tuned the nuances, but I pronounce my name like ◌̈æʑʊr, more or less. IPA reader.

The Collective has passed a motion which prohibits adopting an official collective binary gender, and we are queer as fuck. We do tend to caucus with women on reproductive health rights, other civil rights, and representation/safety in society and high tech.

References to fish, or Fish, which don't sound like they're pets, probably refer to marmalade_fish. I accidentally adopted a chapter of this book club in 2009. As of 2020, my youngest fishbaby is 24, mostly independent of her family of origin, graduated with honors as a computer science major, and has a nice tech job. I couldn't be more proud.

The Fishmum Manifesto goes something like this:

• Most of us sometimes need a little nudge to do the things we really need to do (and some of us with various executive function problems need it more than others).
  
• Gentle encouragement and acceptance are much more likely to produce good results than yelling and shaming.
  
• You are the expert of your own situation. Advice given by others may be actively counterproductive, because they don't know your situation the way that you do. When you give advice, it's almost always appropriate to add qualifiers that make it explicitly okay to ignore your advice as needed.
  
• The world is very unlikely to end if you fuck stuff up. You, my fishchild, are unlikely to lose my love and approval via an accidental fuckup, and it is also unlikely that you will fuck up more spectacularly than Fishmum already has. I do on occasion issue warnings for things that I link to. In general, NSFW is anything I think that you should view with caution based on your surroundings. I am more likely to warn for gross content than sexually explicit content. I base my warnings on presumed audience -- I know there are people sensitive to this, that, and the other, but I don't always know everything. I should at some point write up a more thorough description of the warnings I tend to give and why.

Regarding grossness and sex:
I am jaded to goatse.cx; I have seen Tubgirl; I know what 2Girls1Cup is; I know what 1man1jar is; the lotus breast is a photoshop; I help administrate beginningcocks. All this means that my grossness thresholds are entirely possibly not yours, and things I consider mildly gross but mostly amusing may be your bulletproof squick.

Sex education and safety is vital to people of all ages, and if you practice kink, please be risk-aware, sane|sensible, and consensual.
