Apartments and other beautiful things!

Went to look at apartments. Looked at at least three examples; went to more places to look but they didn't have models to show.

The first place we looked was about a seven. The shared spaces were great; the bedrooms were not so great. The second place we looked was closer to a four. Between it being on the 3rd floor and the evil tiny staircase up to the 4th floor with the other two bedrooms, it was already not a good idea, and then the dodgy stuff with the hallways ... no. But the third one! It's wonderful!

Also, Myrrh and Heather put eyeliner and mascara on JD, much to his *flail*.

It has nice large bedrooms, plenty of space, a kitchen that's a little narrow but livable, washer and dryer behind the kitchen, and plenty of closets. It's at the upper range of floor space we were looking for, and at the bottom range in price. It's a little out of the way, which is why it's less expensive, but it's right within maybe three miles of work, and even closer to Ikea.

The eyeliner didn't work at all (at least in part because it was brown and not black), but for some reason Myrrh says I should wear mascara more often because it "brings out my eyes". ¯\(°_o)/¯

I have black eyeliner. I'll do your mascara next time, because I try for less clumping and more subtle lengthening without overdoing it.

Around the area. We have brochures and stuff from all of them. I'm poking around online for renter reviews. The current leader of them has awful reviews; looking at it, I see three chronic problems:

Short staffing in the office and especially in maintenance
An administrator who's discovered the apartment review site and also discovered the joys of Anonymous Coward and sockpuppeting
Mold

That last is worrisome.
