Sometimes I kind of stop updating for a while, oops. (End of April/beginning of May)

Occupied a few days with some Couch-Tidying. I located and washed an organizer that I'd been meaning to employ, and put some of the things in little compartments. There's still a large chunk of items that need sorting through and putting somewhere better. One area at a time, right? One thing at a time?
Used the upholstery thread that I got and attached two couch cushions to each other, so they wouldn't be quite so tectonic in their attempts to drift apart when sat on. Next we have another two, but those will need to wait for a moment when a) Alex isn't using one of them, and b) I am up for another stitching session.
The stand-out moment from the zoom call that some of the tidying was aimed at was a dogwhistle that I heard loud and clear: the words were something like "can you get out? what can you actually do with the restrictions in your ... area?" and aside from being a blatant fish for WHAT STATE WE ARE IN, it is the sort of thing that is usually a prelude to handwringing about These Terrible Lockdown Restrictions Don't Let Us Do Anything. So I fired back with a barrage taking aim at the local anti-maskers who were putting a specious notion of their liberties above the actual health of their neighbors, and not much more was said on the topic.
Yesterday (Thursday), the annoyance on the left side of my neck kicked in and I was tired of it feeling like the muscle was going to do A Bad Thing (if it wasn't pulling like it was going to cramp, it was just tender and sore like it had been working overtime) and I spent from 7pm on basically asleep. I woke up for a little bit here and there, but I was out until about 11:30.
Our connections have been raising their hackles (bird-hackles, not dog-hackles) about The State Of Chips, which is being fed by the pandemic and I think in lesser case Shipping, which is leading to The State of Hard Drives, which is *also* being fucked up by some absolute lightbulb who decided that since Bitcoin et al are shits that waste electricity, he had a better idea and that was wasting disk space. So massively large hard drives are being snapped up by the same shits who like to raise the price of compute and turn fossil fuel into riches for themselves. Motherfuckers. Which is to say that I told Belovedest that if they were going to be getting large hard drives now was the time to be getting them as our connection predicted that hard drives are about to be fucked for 18 months.
Belovedest got two of the 8 terabyte backup drives from the Costco, and they are now named Lil NAS X and Lil NAS XX (I voted for Old Town Road and Montero) and have the household shared media upon it.

Saturday (Beltane) Belovedest was at work. It was CSA day -- lots more greens. I did a batch of mixed greens and bacon and hung the bundles of herbs up, using magnetized clips off the refrigerator. I set the chards aside for later stir-fry. Since it was May already, I put the tabs on my car so I won't have to do that when I next venture forth.
My seeds arrived; I grabbed a few packets and strewed them in some out of the way of the lawnmower places in the back yard.
There was a new underworld faction in Gems; I'm pleased to say that Belovedest and I got them all the way to the top reward of the New Faction event -- and both the Orbs of Chaos from the final reward were blue!
Sunday I looked for the shower head that I know I have somewhere, but didn't find it. I did fold some cloth, and put another washer load through. I found a likely piece of cloth (a tablecloth, in fact) to form The Lady Veil.
Sunday featured a lot of Escape Calico climbing The Technology, where she is not allowed to go and she knows it. With help from The Tol, the lace tablecloth now forms a triangular barrier between curtain and lamp. Escape Calico hasn't tested it so far, but Yellface was looking thoughtfully at it after she got cat-swapped back upstairs. No, Yellface! We do not climb the printer!
After Belovedest got back from work, we got the Beltane takeout that we hadn't gotten on actual Beltane (because greens instead). There is a Brazilian steakhouse in one of the nearby-ish malls. They do takeout. We picked a Feast (1 lb each of two meats, five sides) plus some supplemental meats for variety and leftovers. And a slice of cheesecake. The "Brazilian" flavor has a chocolate bottom 1/3 and cheese flavor for the other 2/3, with a caramel and pecan topping. Recommended. We watched The Mitchells vs. The Machines, which is an extremely cute animated lesson about why you do not jilt your virtual assistant if you are a tech bro. (Warnings: very flashy, brief emetophobia 2x near the beginning, and the potential for a great amount of embarrassment.)

Dorian has similar technological aspirations. He likes to strop his claws on the grill over the desktop's power supply, and/or bat at whatever's plugged into the USB ports back there. The fact that this always results in a "no, stop that!" and being moved away from the computer doesn't seem to deter him, and I haven't figured out a suitable barrier yet.

I have been considering pigeon spikes for the top of the printer, but so far the tablecloth curtain has been working.
