C++

Exam 2 was today (monday). Had some difficulties with passing arrays and header files. Returning was also fun. After remembering what I should have known all along (not enough sleep) I did well; the header files ate up a lot of time though. Did not polish as much as I'd've liked to. Oh well.

Adam likes sex. The Oak Prince teased the hell out of him this morning, as did I. Votania helped with the teasing this evening.

Darkside's sick, poor sweetie. Hope he feels better soon.

Done with classes for the day. Adam got some rocks from EBay -- two labradorite pyramids, some fluorite, and a very pretty pyramid paperweight. (My judgement; I get nothing from it. Neither does he, but it's pretty, and he's going to play with lasers with it.)

The fluorite wrapped in wire could use some cleansing, the paperweight is just fine, the fluorite wand is almost perfect -- but the labradorite and I need to have some time with some salt and hot water, and probably soap as well. Yuck. Don't know what it was up to, before, but... yuck.

Testing the Client

...making sure it works for both dead and live journals. destruction130, my roommate Votania, and I, should both be able to use the LJ/DJ client and have lots and lots of fun with it. I'm hoping my halfassed html knows what it's doing.

I'm playing with making links. I'm a baby html kiddie. I'm attempting to convince Adam that he should get a deadjournal, if he can't get a livejournal. destruction130 is of course my roommate Votania, who discovered Deadjournal the other day while I was at work. I came home to her delightedly playing with the properties. She and technology don't get along very well all the time, so I do love it when she and computers like each other. We'll see if we can't introduce her to the wonders of the client. Hehe. I will yet convert her.

Seems that Evan, who guest-starred in the Fanboy Otaku Gamer's Club feature Neoranger, and I have been talking a lot.

Hmm.

We'll see how it goes. He wants to meet up with me; I'm slightly more reserved.

Dennis K, the webcomic artist, is not entirely thrilled about the prospect. He remembers when he and I met up. We didn't click, largely because of the awkward social dynamic at that point, and the fact that I get extremely shy on first meeting with someone, no matter how well I know them online or over the phone. The awkward social dynamic was more or less a double-date with a four-year-old as chaperone.... that would mostly kill any chance of "getting to know you better" ... as would the fiendish schemes of one Darkside, who cunningly told Dennis just enough information about my multiple personalities to worry him ... and then, to add to it that the other couple on the double-date included the love of my life... yeah, that would make it awkward.

I would have liked to get a chance to know him better in some other setting, but evidently after that, he lost all interest, and now doesn't even particularly want to speak with me. Grr, in other words.

Evan seems nice. I, as usual, am reserving judgment. I'm not about to go and meet him in person without a lot more getting to know him online and over the phone, of course. Still, a distinct possibility.

teriyaki chicken

Am not big fan of chicken. Votania was serving anyway. Made up some of FatherSir's famous secret sauce & baked it in that. Delicious. Everyone agreed. Nephew ate some of his peas on my directives to "Pick one up, put it in your mouth, chew it, swallow it." And I couldn't get him to accept a do/while loop: do: (predefined routine: eat peas) while: (peas still on plate).

Yum. Chocolate, almonds, marshmallow fluff, condensed milk, sugar, vanilla, butter. Delicious. Going roughly from recipe on fluff jar. Yum still. I am damn good.

Too rich for Votania though. Poor dearie.
