Instead of improving my mind by finally buckling down and reading the Christians' holy book, I'm immersed in some quasi-literary historical trash by John Jakes (is that his real name?) involving the Kent family and the making of America, from the ground up. The first book is The Bastard, and has lots of sex scenes.
