Dammit.

One of those half-asleep mornings. Forgot the 3x5 card for Speech; had to walk home and get them.

Was evil to ralmathon last night by hugging him in the way where the face hits the neck. I had been wearing lipstick. It smudged off on him. He got comments.

Bald Guy asked me for some general advice on stuff. I gave him advice to the best of my experience. He was glad to have talked about it with somebody, and plans to talk to the people he needs to talk to about the thing. Advised him to ask Darkside for the whole psychology thing with keeping friendships, as Darkside is good at that.

Babble babble

Chatted with Darkside about his Stats class. He's got Mr. Benes, which is delightful. Mr. Benes, "The Joking Okie", is great fun to have as a teacher, far better than Erbe. Darkside teased me about teasing Neighbor.

We have to do a five minute speech about ourselves for Speech class. (What a surprise.) Darkside discussed how to best distract me. He decided that if he could convince Mr. Sandstrom to come in class and start stripping, that this would distract me. I did not tell Darkside that a better move to distract me would be for him to strip himself.

Gave Bald Guy advice.

The guy who I'd run into on Monday, the one who'd seen my necklace and said, "Merry meet!", the one with the runes, showed up today and sat down and chatted with me. Nice guy. He's from Arkansas. I spent a while trying to decode the accent. He likes anime, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, and a few other common interests.

Caught a ride home with Dawn, who will be stopping by one of these days when her schedule isn't quite so insane.

Clean Up, Throw Out

Cleaned out my jewelry box, finally. Sorted out trinkets from spell components from delicate feminine adornments, and categorized them all. Collected a small baggie of things I'm donating to Votania's co-worker's yard sale.

Put letters and bills in the mail, and fielded a call from Adam's dad, wondering if his baby was in. Pestilence had Adam's new home number, so I didn't have to wait for Adam to notice the new IM. Me having Adam's home number is still fairly silly, as it's the same apartment complex still.

Earlier, went through some of the stuff from the cupboard, the stuff that Votania didn't get to organize. Put that in better places.

Need to install zip drive on this computer so I can get at my half-finished homework that's due in over a week.

Chicken?

Nephew has discovered a new weapon in Drakon: the chicken. Somehow, he has obtained a chicken, and is hitting things with it. It squawks every time you swing it.

General witchy advice roundup

Anybody know any techniques for getting a runaway Prophetic Dreaming Talent under control? Will be doing my own research as well, but would appreciate input from others.

Significance

I've been coming away from my conversations with Darkside happy, warm, and with the feeling that important, significant things have been said, without my really knowing what they are in waking moments, or being able to realize them until I dream again; perhaps they were not even said aloud. Whatever they are, he's been saying them to me, rather than just me saying them to him.

It's good, having a friend like him.
