Called Shawn too late; talked for maybe half an hour. He did something involving a strand of Hannah’s hair and bleach: her hair may lighten a subtle shade this summer. He ran across a lizard in a lot of pain the other day, and carried it with him until it died. This is one of the reasons I still love him. Incredibly odd emotion, but I love him for the little things like that. He doesn’t like creepy-crawlies or insects save for dragonflies. He’s yet to see about damselflies. He’s gotten several letters, all of them handwritten. He called the last one a novel. One of his "windows" hit while he was in public this time. Odd. I’m going to have to call him in a talkative mood sometime after he gets back and just blab with him. He’s more open later at night, I’ve learned. When he’s exhausted. He was glad I’d called, even though my timing left much to be desired. He suggests that for serious information on healing and such, I ask Jerry, because the stuff he knows is seriously remedial. He wondered why the not-listening-to-me was nightmare material.
Today’s entry in the letter to Shawn (#11) is most enlightening about some things I’ve been thinking but not saying or writing for some time.
