Aced.
Not sure what grade I actually got, but I aced it. I have a nice projecting voice, and I read with plenty of emotion. The class, during speeches, is usually looking in all kinds of different directions; to hold their complete attention for thirty seconds is an accomplishment. I held lots of attention. The rest of my group did not look quite so excellent next to me; this is not a problem, as I will be bringing their grades up.
Not arrogant: accurate.

Took a four-hour nap last night; consequently, I didn't get much sleep. I was off and on the 'Net all night.
evealone wonders if I'm developing vampiric traits, including my lack of love for bright sunlight.
Lack of sleep should make me a joy to deal with today. I've been doing well so far.

Bleh. Decided this morning, after a comment of his, to not touch Darkside. The effects of this were immediate. The comment made me go silent; the decision to not-touch drew my expression up into something very cold; the palms of my hands ached.
He has a way of prying things out of me. I don't mind it. I rather like it, that someone should care about me enough to do so.
This one, I've got to deal with on my own.
Told him that he should get a girlfriend.

Darkside interviews Thursday for a job. In preparation for this, he got a haircut.
It's really not quite as abysmal as his last haircut, but it's close, especially for someone who looks so very good with long hair. Evidently his reason for having long hair in the first place is because he never does have time to get his hair cut.
If he does get this job, the Halloween gaming party may have to have some severe schedule changes to it. I am promised to be on my best behaviour, in any case.
This would-be job will give him the same amount of money with four hours a day, five days a week, that his current job does with six hours a day, five days per week. Data entry and Access database work. Drawback? His father works there.

Mood swing
Sep. 27th, 2002 11:15 amEvidently I needed the imagery to crack me out of the mood.
Dawn and Neighbor and I will be heading out for lunch at noon. Sometime this evening, Votania and I are headed Out with the Silver Dragon Druid guy. Sounds like fun!

Hit by Virus!!!
Sep. 27th, 2002 11:35 amHee.
So,
evealone signed up Grandma for some delightful mailing lists. Adult ones.
When Grandma was talking to Votania yesterday evening, Grandma complained about the virus she'd been hit by: she was checking her e-mail at work, and she found all these porn e-mails!!!

Dynamics, lunch
Sep. 27th, 2002 02:21 pmVotania said that she'd be showing up with a wand for Dawn's birthday. What she didn't say was that she'd be showing up en masse with
marxdarx and Nephew, and forming a small gang saying hello to
ralmathon (who is still single!) in the computer lab, waiting for Dawn to show.
There was giggling while waiting in the cafeteria (the class going on in lab looked a bit disturbed, so we left when Neighbor got off work), and much silliness between Marx and Votania. If she picks at her face, we'll make her wear makeup! That triggered a staring contest. I won because Marx poked Votania, causing her to lose her concentration. That might not have been necessary, as it was I [Dagger] doing the staring...
I introduced Kurt to the gang as the Defense Against The Dark Arts professor, and Neighbor qualified that he was the cool werewolf one from Book #3.
Marx decided to go rock shopping rather than joining us for lunch, so the delegation from home departed. We'd already said hello to Miss Ironwood, and Mrs. Yeager (Juli Brown) said hello as well. (It's weird when people from your class group get married.)
Dawn and Neighbor and I did lunch at Fuddrucker's. Much fun: much discussion of vampires. Neighbor asked nosy questions about social dynamics and got eyes rolled at him. Darkside's potential new job was discussed. It was determined that none of us were overly concerned about the topic of rescheduling the party. We're thinking Friday night rather than Thursday, to better fit with Darkside's probable new job.
Mmm, gotta love me a Darkside.

Whoever was drinking the lemon-lime soda in the pale blue plastic cup: it's on the counter. It was left on the floor by the couch. One word: Shamash.
Was the back door supposed to be closed and locked when I came in?
I might take a nap.

The Silver Dragon Druid Guy called and wants to know what's up for tonight.
