WAAAUUUGH!! COFFEE!!!!
Oct. 11th, 2002 08:14 amDecided to sleep in, as Ashford took a vote, and class today is cancelled. (We have a two-hour meeting on Finals day rather than just one; there's only so much class to go around.) Therefore, my first class is at noon.
Got to school around seven, rather than around six. Darkside was happy to see me, though wondering why I was late. Out with Dawn.
Put some chocolate covered espresso bombs in my shirt pocket. They are all gone now. You do not want to know my typing speed at this point; I am sure that it is very frightening. Darkside didn't want any; gave one to Bald Guy.
Still have quite a few remaining in the little plastic box in my room. Mmm. They did last the week after all. Amazing. Delightful.
Must clean my backpack and my purse and get all the papers somewhere that I belong. Must fulfil the requirements for a lot of the Tarot certification things; I need to memorize the meanings of all 78 cards, upwards and downwards; I need to learn more layouts. I am almost qualified to become a Certified Apprentice Tarot Reader; I just need to memorize the rest of the upright cards. Of course, I'll wind up memorizing the reversed meanings of them along with the rest.
To do: make or buy alphabet flashcards for Nephew, to drill him with. Big letter on one side, little letter on the other side. Shuffle cards, hold one up. Have him say the name of the letter and make the sound. If he gets it, put it in the "he got it!! Yayy!" pile; if not, put it on the bottom of the pile of letters to ask him about, and continue with the next card.
By the time the game is done, he will have practiced all the letters he has trouble with until he can get them right on the first try.
(Gotta love my history as a tutor...)
