Well, that was productive.

I crashed out at ten, absolutely exhausted.

I'm going back to bed as soon as I check my mail and all that...

My sleeping patterns have been weirder than weird, lately. One can only hope that they'll be useful.

Trip home update:

Mama hasn't yet gotten the tickets yet. Grandma's been ... if not ill, then at least not 100% together, and FatherSir may want to spend some time with her, and they want to work out the logistics of that before committing my tickets.

I'm going to snag a time off request from the office at work anyway, and fill it out, so that it will be all ready to turn in the day that Mama does give me confirmation, so that things will flow as smoothly as possible.

The idea of getting to go home for a visit does not quite feel real to me yet. I suspect that this is due in part to first not having tickets yet, and second ... to not having made any lists.

I am a list-maker. Any grand plan of mine, from when I was smallish on up, always had a list involved. I would list out where I would be, when I would be there, in a detailed schedule. I would make or collect maps. I would list the things that I would need, and the things I would not need. I would list the absolute essentials, and the things that I would like, and the things that I would like but could do without, and the things that I could not bring, even, sometimes.

I would make packing lists for each bag, and for on my person. I would list out what I would be wearing, and why. I would list out the contents of my pockets. I would plan my makeup and jewelry.

I haven't listed anything for this trip yet, and it's in less than two months. I'd better get busy...
