Support Volunteer Fun

It's so very, very nice when senior support volunteers contact you out of the sorta-light-purplish (not quite out of the blue) and tell you that you've been posting very nice stuff, and would you like to get reviewed?

I've been very shy in the support community because I'm really only doing this part-time and sporadically, but... wow. Whee!

My girlfriend and my highschool best chickfriend have cool friends. Whee!

A better evening

Came home. Talked with Darkside, of course. Yay! He's been sharing little bits of things here and there with me, and it's so nice. Unprompted, even. I eagerly await the day when he actually e-mails me first.

The potential plans for Sis and me to go out were not fruitful, as she'd forgotten all about it, and we were both zonked out of our brains. Communication, however, did wind up happening, as I have (or, rather, Marah has) gotten better at not shutting down utterly even when upset. There was some sulking and hiding behind pillows. The bigger the pillow the Lunatic is hugging, probably the more upset the Lunatic. This time, I was hugging my beanbag chair.

I zonked out for maybe an hour. She was out for perhaps two. We were both a lot saner after we woke up. She made bread. Mm, bread. I called Dawn and chatted. Yay! She's my other big sister person.

I still want to get enough time in Darkside's physical presence. It was always very comfortable to fall asleep curled up next to him on the couch.

Sleep, proper amounts of

Bedtime was 5 in the morning again. Just couldn't get to sleep. Bad Lunatic probably needed the nap, but should have stayed asleep after that...

I did get my 7 hours, though, which is sufficient for me as long as I won't be called upon to remain coherent after I get off shift.

There is something fuzzy in my room who thinks that I am not petting her enough. She is squeaking at me.

Cleaning! Toybox! Vacuuming! Whee!

The Little Fayoumis is cleaning his toybox. First, we vacuumed, so the living room floor was actually a hospitable place to dump out all his toys. He seems to be, on his own, sorting things into roughly equal piles of stay and go. The triage is actually not happening; there aren't any toys he's feeling "maybe" about.

For my part, things are coming out of my bathroom and going into the to-go box. Makeup that some kid would absolutely love for war paint or something, but isn't going to be much good otherwise... Some of it's gone blooie in the garbage can. My pretty shiny two-tone blue lipstick has been wronked by the Arizona heat...

Over half of the LF's toys are going. Amazing. We-the-grownups are going to sort through after this, to make sure that all the things he's sorted to go are thigs that we can also stand to see leaving.

We have the windows open and the a/c off. The cats are enjoying this. I have the wedding gift for digitalambience in a gift bag, finally, without much finesse. Ah well. It's the thought that counts in some cases, and gift bag is beyond my call of duty.

I may well go out for some Girl Time with Sis tonight, depending on stuff.
