Monday was Presidents Day, so my weekend continued. I vaguely recall sleep and gaming.

Tuesday, I am sure that things other than being supportive to my fishbaby about homework (often a valid life choice) and work happened, but both Twitter and my brain are blank on this front.

Wednesday was going decently until I actually wound up in the work parking lot, where various other people sniped not one, but two parking spots out from under me. (Right now work has not only more people than parking by a factor of well more than the limits Palo Alto imposes, but a non-zero amount of it is taken up by construction hilarity.) My mood abruptly tanked. There are parking attendants to make double-parking a valid life choice, but this only works when they're paying attention. I "sent feedback" (ranted) to site services, and then ran into the sort of $APPLICATION problems that usually resulted in me rolling my eyes and dealing with it, but in that mood resulted in general loathing and more ranty feedback. At that point I decided that I was in no condition to inflict myself upon my co-workers, and fucked off for home.

Thursday, of course I stayed up too late from Wednesday night. But I had decided that I was going to take transit to work, dammit, so when I woke up at 5:30 anyway, I made the snap decision that I was just going to get dressed and go. So I did. I took the Caltrain combo in (and remembered to tag off, very important) and took the slow bus back. My complaints were in fact validated -- the Facilities head honcho had a word with the parking people. (I give zero fucks whether the parking attendants are *looking* un-busy when people come in. I do give fucks when the looking-un-busy is coupled with complete inattentiveness when parking is still a morass.) My $APPLICATION complaints were also validated, to the tune of several tickets filed out of my general AAAIGH I HATE ALL OF THIS. Reading Young Wizards on the bus (I am up to A Wizard's Holiday, which I think is the last re-read) is often a valid life choice, and I had sufficient ice-water that I was okay even when we hit Colma, though I stopped reading around then. I wasn't quite dressed for the chill, but I am well-insulated and was feeling sprightly enough to walk around to warm up my cold hands.

Friday, I slept deeply and well (despite going to bed at unwise hours of the morning) and pranced productively off to work. I went to have dinner and Netflix with my aunt. She was puzzling over what to watch, and I mentioned that I'd never seen The Producers. She decided that we were going to fix that, as that was one of her favorites. Next time we'll see the modern version. TMI/mild body horror: snot/not-snot. ) I found this entirely hilarious.
