I pissed myself, laughing. Twice.

No cheese, nor mustard, was inserted into my disk drive. I can only imagine the level of boneheadeness on the part of the users that would make those, and not "is it plugged in and turned on?" the default question to ask users.

So now, instead of just mashing one button firmly and holding another down until the appropriate time shows for the alarm on my alarm clock, I must hold down the Change Alarm Time button at a specific angle (any other angle and the command will not be accepted) and mash the Change Time Downwards Fast button *and* the Change Time Downwards Slowly button at the same time, or else the alarm time will proceed slowly upwards.

Said alarm clock is approximately eight to nine years old; I think it's time to upgrade.

Darkside told me this morning (Tuesday) that the sci-fi channel was showing new episodes (well, episodes he'd never seen) of B5 coming on at local time 6 pm.

I grinned joyously and captured his hand and kissed it.

After wiping his hand off on his uniform trousers, he indignantly told me that while he was expecting me to be happy, he hadn't been anticipating a response like *that*.

Heh. It is B5 we're dealing with here...

In other Darkside news, he's been having an amusing time at work, what with a co-worker leaving; apparently his workplace pulls pranks on departing employees. He regaled me with some alarming work stories, including refrigerator temperature, idiots and garbage disposals, especially the idiots who installed them, and shrink-wrapped trucks.

Most of the departure pranks have been captured on videotape...

Darkside's just an easy guy to adore. Don't know why, can't understand it... like it anyway.

Put it this way: I've been reading Lao Russell's Love at [livejournal.com profile] votania's suggestion ... I could certainly spend 23 hours with Darkside, just talking to him, listening to him, being silent near him. No sex necessary. Lately, at breakfast, no meal's been necessary. We've just been together. Together on the computer, off the computer...

...and still I don't half know him. Nor he me. We should fix this at some point... he's given me the key.

That jar on the top shelf of the fridge, to the north... that wasn't a jar of grease. That was the jar where I was storing the leftover condensed milk from when I made fudge... rather than storing it in the open can...

Ah well. It was the same color...

Been feeling down, lately. Listless. Sleeping. Not wanting to work. (Well, that's a given.) I want to sleep for a week. Barely even want to read.

What's wrong with me?

Votania doesn't know what's wrong with me.

Wonder if Darkside would.

Valentine

I got something for Darkside for Valentine's Day this year. Something small, useful, and he'll appreciate it. Symbolic.

There was no appropriate wrapping paper anywhere, so I created my own.

The small package is wrapped with paper that features a design of: hand grenades, bombs, dynamite, explosions, and hearts.

Despite its being Valentine's Day, and me being a friend he's not romantically interested in that he knows of, I think he'll like this. Votania thinks he will, Neighbor thinks he will, Adam thinks he will. I'm sure he will.

Darkside hasn't been eating it lately. His parents have been hammering on him because of it. Silly boy. I worry.

Going to work now, after a half-hour nap that was interrupted in the middle by the crazy lady across the way shouting a banishing at something or other.

Perhaps should close window next time?

So I went to work on time today (what else is new) and they said my booth was not ready. So I sat in the break room.... and sat in the break room....

They remembered us two hours later. Our booths had been ready for the past hour and a half....

Oh yeah. My workplace so has it together. Totally.

While we were waiting, Shrimpy came and sat down -- he'd been falling asleep on the phones, and needed a coffee break to wake his ass up.

To pay him back for the other day when I had been on the Private Bank study and talked to the poor woman and drained myself, when he'd helped me out, I laid hands upon his bottle of Starbuck's.

Apparently I'm a lot higher-powered than I'm used to being. Nifty. He came right awake.
