Fishhead update

The tail has been lost, somewhere in the house. Gods alone know where the head is. Shamash has been bouncing off the walls, because it's been raining and he's had catnip.

Wish Darkside were here to watch a movie with.

rain washes the world new

I love the air before, after, during a rainstorm. The water, the electricity... calms me right down and recharges me, for whatever reason.

Darkside gets homesick for Germany a lot. We had another sidestepping chat, today, about what's going to happen after he leaves. I don't want to lose another friend to moving away. He's already lost too many that way, every two years or so.

Whenever it rains, he wants to go out and stand in it. Arizona drivers don't know what to do with rain. Every time he talks about Germany, I feel the homesickness. The climate there is where his mind belongs to be at rest. The forests, the rain... I feel it so strongly that never even having been there, he pulls me with him.

Home is where the heart is. My heart is with him. I don't need anything more than friendship, but for the moment, he and I will allow my heart to camp out on his shoulder.

Yahoo has added a marketing profile. Poke around in your profiles until you find it; you will find that they have automatically signed you up to receive spam.

It is now possible to extract some of your personal information from your marketing profile. Ignore the things that they say are required, and delete them. You'll be asked to keep your name in there. I used "Noneofyour Bloody Business" for first, middle, and last.

Spudmuffin

Adam has a new nickname.

Adam's brother Pestilence is over, has been all afternoon. I brought Nephew home from preschool today, Votania having had to work late.

Pestilence told Nephew to call Adam "Spud" from now on. Adam has been less than thrilled about this. I'm calling him Spudmuffin. Nephew is going rather overboard with the whole "spud" thing.

My parents are showing up sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening. Votania sounds as if she has obtained leave from her parents to not show up for Easter dinner. I so owe her. Of course, I am an excuse to evade it, one that is damn near waterproof.

...Yep, she's excused from Easter dinner. She gets to just stay home and chill. My parents were not especially thrilled about the idea of going to Votania's parents house for any reason whatsoever.
