Feeling far more like home. Candle burning on the secondary altar, most of the stuff off the floor, some stuff picked up and put in appropriate boxes... books on appropriate shelves, the new teamwork poster put up on the bathroom door (gotta have humor somewhere), alarm clocks placed by bed...
Will vacuum tomorrow. Did a bit today, but it's now too late to get the rest of the room without disturbing the next-door neighbor. The neighbors to the south of us are all right for stoners; they have good taste in Metallica. The neighbor to our north is a quiet old lady. Neighbors above us have gotten more quiet; either that or they're new since the noise stopped. I say hi to that lady every now and then on our ways in or out. She's nice.
Radio on. I seem to have lucked on to the station playing the current hits plus nostalgic ones from when I was a teenager and kid. I've got the old alarm clock fixed on the local NPR station. It was playing R.E.M. ("Losing My Religion", of course; do they ever play anything else?) when I tuned in to it; I took that as an omen.
It's warm and bright, just the way I like it.
The room's feeling very much more teenage than ever it did before. I think that's due to the general tidiness. I can see floor.
