Cleaning Frenzy

Despite sore muscles from the workout, I am participating in the cleaning frenzy of votania. Ow.

But, it is good to see the house again.

Am noticing that I have a startling amount of spare money in my "swag jar".

This filk is probably unusual, in that it takes a song from the world of fandom, and tweaks it to apply to the real world. More verses will probably be added later, as I poke my nose around more and discover more fun and happy events to give credit where credit is due.

The song that this is filked from is from Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix, and those wishing not to be spoiled in the least, you may wish to wait to read the book first, though my filking gives nothing about the book away except that there is a song with this basic format, and heck, I just spoiled you that there's a song in it...

Dreamed

There was something underwater about this pack of ravenous butterfly snails, coming along and eating everything in their path. This was underwater...

...Shit, that *was* a Spongebob episode.

Only it was *scary* in this dream.

Phone

Called Darkside. Let him know that yes, backbone was enabled, at least for that morning when I discussed the stuff. He'd already read OotP quite some time ago. (He had earlier told me of his plan to hijack his mother's copy when she got it.)

His schedule still sucks. Shared the news about the car, and how now it won't blow up.

Five minutes on the phone with him is by far not enough, but at least it's not absolutely nothing.

The first batch, which was released today, consists of Barbie (Barbara du Mattel), Kenneth de Faux, Chani and Colleen MacNeil, as well as various horses and playsets. Available with blonde hair and blue eyes, SCA Barbie (called Barbara du Mattel), this doll comes dressed in the basic t-tunic, leggings and boots. Clothing packages include Elizabethan, middle period, early period fop, or Scottish. Accessories include pouch, belt, cloak, hat, gloves, wooden chair, candelabra, feast gear, armor, weapons, and horse with saddle and tack.

The Barbara doll is modified - she has flat feet, no arch, and cannot wear heels. Pull her string to hear her say... "What time does court begin?" "Long live the Queen!" "I'm sooooo drunk!" and "Stop looking at HER and pay attention to ME!"

Kenneth de Faux comes with blonde hair and blue eyes. He comes dressed in the standard t-tunic, leggings, and boots. Clothing packages include Elizabethan, middle period, early period fop, Scottish or Viking. Accessories include pouch, belt, cloak, hat, gloves, wooden chair, candelabra, feast gear, armor, weapons, and horse with saddle and tack. The Kenneth doll is modified - he IS anatomically correct, so when he is in Scottish clothing, Barbie can kilt-check him. Pull his string to hear him say... "What time does fighting begin?"
