Brick House
Feb. 19th, 2012 04:26 amChecked the mail in the wild winter wind & found a package from
norabombay: clothes! Cardigans, dresses.
I tried them on & I was immediately thrilled. They fit. They worked. I felt like a superhero.
My whole outlook on life has changed, usually subtly but sometimes not, upon learning about The Wall. Here is a goddamn superhero built like me. She is one strong motherfucker. I think of her and I stand straighter, wider, tougher.
She is well-tailored. She is fucking strong. She gets shit done.
I like to look like a superhero. It gives me an uncomplicated thrill and inspires me to do another set of plies to get me closer to my old fighting strength.
In vaguely related news, work is still thrilling me to pieces.
