If I don't post something now, I will probably forget, so:
Friday was work and going home at a vaguely sensible hour. Also turning my face out for the hug so I wouldn't get poky bits of hair up the nose. (My hilarity at being on the other end of the complaints Shawn had about my Attack Hair, let me show you it. My hair is often bound up in a braid these days.)
Saturday was an alarm and then the bus, and then hating every part of the way that Muni and the Stonestown Mall interact, complete with missing two of the same bus and stomping off to use the bathroom before finally catching the third. Then there was Eurovision at JD's friend's place, and then Seanan's book launch party. And dinner and Shopping Shenanigans with Tif. And the headache which turned into a stomach-ache, and curling up around a hot pad before mercifully falling asleep and waking up human again. (As Purple had been Out with the Plague, I was worried that he'd breathed on me or something.) I may go into more detail later, because a lot of things happened and yay. One fun bit included someone wondering how much of the book they'd see me get through, because they've seen me make determined inroads on other books at past parties. It seems to be a bit of a tradition. This may or may not have been the person who told me at a past event that if she hadn't already got the book, she'd have got it based on the endorsement inherent in the fun that I was having while reading it.
Sunday was a lot of sleeping. Also reading, I think? My memories are blurry.
Monday: work, with walloping the last bits of transcription and then barging straight into walloping the database for study recruitment. Ghost town due to massive offsite event. Then Outlook stopped letting me change my signature settings.
Tuesday: work, and stuffing stuff in boxes. Still ghost town. I walked one of the bits that belonged in the lab over into the lab, and cleared the last of the Large Bits of Junk out.
Wednesday will be the last day of Ghost Town for a while. Hopefully I will have more boxes, to continue the stuffing and hauling. Also I need to file a ticket about the Outlook signature thing, because the dude on the phone seems to have not.
