I've been miscellaneously chilly the past week-ish. I sleep hot, generally; during the days after I either get too cold or too tired, I crawl into bed and pull my own comforter and also Belovedest's over me, and read or play Duolingo🇫🇷 or clickygames.
At night, of course, it's off with all but the one thin cotton blanket until the house chills and the cat hasn't climbed on my hip and started buzzing.
alexseanchai has made shortbread: rose, lavender, orange peel, cinnamon. The flavor is not quite noticeable over the butter, but butter is the point of shortbread. I've had my one cup of coffee for the day.
Today's miscellaneous project is emptying Alex's lap desk of the tiny foam beads in their cushions, preparatory to stuffing it with something that doesn't have a penchant for leaking out and sticking to whatever cat comes and sits in it. I have little static-charged foam beads in my cleavage and probably up my nose, and the stuffing-pockets are still lined with a thin coating. Rolling the anti-static dryer ball up the larger pocket has not given good results, but it was worth a try.
I made butter chicken last night! Two tiny onions the size of a medium onion, a large amount of frozen pre-cooked chicken, a small amount of oil, the tomato sauce left over from a pizza adventure where we didn't have quite enough pre-spiced red sauce, a spice packet from the store, and half-and-half to finish. It was delicious and I intend to make it again. The jarred sauce is lovely but there never seems to be enough, and it's so expensive for how much you really need.
Alex is going to rollsuck the balls, so I should get out of the way with my chair.
