Filling my pillboxes took about 4 hours and upwards of 2500 step-equivalents. I got the bedtime boxes and the daytime boxes for the next 7-8 weeks. Plus a round of refills requested.

I tried turning one of the freeze dried liver treats into a paté for the ladies to try, using the mortar and pestle before applying water. Escape Calico didn't want to be near it. After Yellface got used to the sauce dish I presented it in, she lapped it up then thoughtfully licked out the adjacent compartment that just had an accidental splash of the concoction. I'm thinking we could then use some liver powder to garnish her soup. Hopefully for fewer complaints to management.

After I had emerged from flopping over due to pillboxes, I set a roast going. The prevailing flavors in the accompanying potatoes are pepper and port. Since it stewed somewhat, the pepper really got around out of proportion to what I put in. Belovedest is not a wine enjoyer but liked this. About a cup of water and a splash of port, could possibly have added more along with more potatoes. It did need some extra grease to carry more flavor but it's perfectly nice as is.

Kittenpants was unrepentant.

The only dishes that didn't go in today's dishwasher load were the ones that didn't get rounded up in time. Tomorrow would be a good day to play catch-up.

Based on a WikiHow article, I have a new process for the pill bottles that don't peel off cleanly.

1. Hot water process. I boil an electric kettle full of water and pour it in my bigger teapot. This time I have some towels down on my "desk" (glass platform over my keyboard) and that's helping immensely. I pour into the bottle and give it a bit. There are some that have to wait until the water's cooled down enough to not crumple the plastic.

2. The missing step that I got from the article: oil. I have an old takeout bowl and I put a bit of oil in the bottom and I'm just kind of rolling the sticky places in the oil. Then I let it sit for a while.

3. Alcohol wipe. It turns the adhesive and oil combination into a whitish fluid goo. Then I wipe it off with a cleanish paper towel.

4. I'm going to have to wash these with like dish soap, but I'm not doing that today.
