The past few days have featured Mila (Alex's cat) getting High.
Mostly on the shelves, from which she is forbidden.
Today I figured as how currently Belovedest's desk in the living room is less subject to little exploring feline feet these days (sigh) and offered that perhaps the Lady Veil could enter a new task era.
Then I went, saw my psychiatrist, talked about the past exciting exercises in medication (we're keeping me on the current prescription for Trazodone while I run down my current back stock, and leaving the Wellbutrin well enough alone for now), gave him the guest keys to my sleep cloud, and set up an appointment for after the sleep study and before his winter vacation. Then I visited the site of the future sleep study and got to know some of the pitfalls of trying to drive through it. (Steep hill, pay attention to the correct turns.) Had to pull over and reboot my phone when it was getting me un-lost from that expedition, since the map kept crashing. Discovered the fatal flaw in the JLab true wireless: you can't pause it with only the left earbud in. NOPE. Picked up prescriptions. Got clamps to attach the Lady Veil to the shelf.
My adventures in Feeding Myself With Secondary Side Effects freaked me out in retrospect shortly after I checked my Monday morning blood sugar. While normally my lows will bounce back given time/rest/water, I feel like I was a couple inches from a medical Situation all weekend. I've made myself a new lock screen image with the action items "Call 911 & offer sugar" and will keep fiddling with the image until I'm happy with the way it shows around the on-screen other stuff.
One of the local podcasts brought up the case Martin v. Boise, which requires that there actually be viable shelter beds available before kicking unhoused people out of where they're living, and furthermore that shelters with a religious participation requirement don't count because of freedom of religion. In, of course, the context that Seattle (among other places) is trying to get it overturned. Which came up again tonight in IRC because https://blackstarfarmers.org/saveblmg
The news hurts right now. For so many reasons. (War crimes: still bad. No matter who's doing 'em.)
Ev is getting better at public transit! Which is often superior to driving in Seattle-adjacent traffic. She steered her guests off in this manner today. I'm proud of her.
I also got stakes and cord to better secure the lawn dragon(s) against Going For A Flap Without Portfolio (and if you imagined the blue dragon tucking a briefcase under their arm, you're not wrong). Recently the big checkers-colored dragon has been attempting to graze on the lawn a lot, with their Charizard tail up in the air.
