Street cred
Jan. 25th, 2025 01:19 am* My formal commendation to the store staff arrived to their notice! We finally saw our friend there; we'd not seen him for at least a month.
* Potato wedges are delicious, and adding my (not so) secret spice mix to the store brand frozen ones made them next level. (Cajun seasoning, Montreal steak seasoning, a little extra dill, and salt.) Doesn't require washing, slicing, or actively tending the pan. Will need to repeat.
* Forgot my 4pm pain meds until 10. By which point my bad hip was aching ominously. Now that I have access to effective pain meds, I am so much less stressed out about doing or having done things that will Annoy my body.
* Kittenpants requested to jump upon me earlier in the day. To the tune of that Doors song:
"There's a kitten on my tits
There's a kitten on my tits
I wonder how she fits, the kitten on my tits
There's a kitten on my tits."

* I now have both 10mg and 50mg "street cred" in my meds kit. Every year there's a safety roundup of hospital visits due to someone getting an object stuck somewhere it likely never should have been stuck. This year's winner was "a baggie of hydroxyzine, for the street cred." I, being ADHD and maybe more than mildly claustrophobic, should take some before a trip through The Machine. And yet the prescription does me no good when it's at home and I'm not. Ergo, a few in my meds kit. In a tiny pill baggie, because it shouldn't be rattling around loose. Thus I was perfectly primed to read that summary of the incident. And then I realized that I had the 10mg increment for breakthrough anxiety, and I should probably have some of those close at hand as well.
* Lemons are sacred to Terpene, the Goddess of Flavor, which is why so many edibles have lemon in them.
