I drove again today! This time, I didn’t have any Big problems, and Mr. Bodle didn’t have to hold back curses. I think I did a fine job. Next Saturday, we get to go out to Harding Lake. Highway driving for us Little Fayoumi! I think Jaylene’s kinda cute. But one does not get a crush on one’s driving partner when one’s driving partner has a Boyfriend. The Boyfriend. She seems like she’s sticking with this guy, but she’s not like Kim/Josh are.
You know Kim’s and my attitude towards guys: the males are the weaker sex; the decorative sex. Sure, they like to think they’re the big, strong ones (they may be physically), but when the chips are down, who do they run to? When they get their big tough asses in a sling, who comes to bail them out of the trouble? Who gangs up on them to set them up? Who puts up with them happily? We femmes, of course. Beg pardon: I’m not a frail unless I choose to be. Of course, when Shawn’s around, I often choose to be. Sometimes the one who’s driving gets drunk and doesn’t tap in a substitute. Laurel/Guardian’s the Designated Driver usually. Or Shanna. Or Sophie. Sophie makes a good Designated Driver because she’s one of the oldest and she’s had lots of experiance with Shawn.
But, anyway, I was going somewhere with this train of thought other than where I ended up heading in that last paragraph. But think of Kim & Joani’s attitude towards guys: “Who cares if he can do anything? Keep him around just to look at.” That’s what Fassa said in PartnerShip about the guy who would eventually be her SO. But, taken too far, we’ve got Fay Harper’s unfortunate attitude, like she can do anything she wants to with the poor sods. That’s how the attitude can be carried too far.
I have Stardust and Ripple here, two cute little peepers. They are such darlings! Stardust gets called “Sawdust,” more often than not.
I now feel a lot safer. Sawdust likes attention. She loves getting petted on the head. Shawn has three chicks. He was joking that he would be home alone for the weekend with three chicks, and he was telling the truth, too! Rose, Elaine, and the other one; I think that one’s name is Buster. It goes well with Geezer, which is the name of one of the cats. Cats and birdies.
