Happy fucking new year

I try to do something special at midnight on new year's eve every year. This year, I decided that I needed a shower before midnight.

At midnight this year, I was pulling an amusing prank, and giggling like hell about it, and at midnight this year, Adam was dealing with a shower suddenly gone cold...

I do talk about him a lot.

We chatted about the stuff he was finding on the internet, and about what happened to the Yule gifts he gave... my tape might be salvageable, maybe. I'm hoping.

It was just a good old time, fun between friends. I locked myself into my bathroom and didn't come out for half an hour, at the end of the conversation, and only finally emerged when Darkside realized he had to go to sleep at some point.

It was sweet, just the two of us alone in the dark. I miss our early morning conversations.

Whenever I get into a conversation on the phone with Darkside, we wind up talking until one or the other of us has some very solid reason to get off the phone. This time, he needed to sleep.

I invited him to visit sometime this week, and gave him my schedule. He might. He just might.

Sunday morning, Shamash went into Mommy's room and dragged her baby spider plants out of their water and scattered each chunk all over the floor, in different places, so Azz had to walk around cleaning each one up.

Cat got a smack on the nose and a bath and then a Time Out in the bathroom.

Right then, time alone and a shower were my first priorities. I am hurt that she would think that I would rather spend time with Adam than learn something that will be important to me in my future path. Right then, taking care of myself so that I would be in a condition to do something was my priority.
