Sex dice: instead of normal numbers or spots, these dice (6 siders, generally...) have positions or body parts on them, for those who like varying their sex lives unpredictably.

[livejournal.com profile] iroshi: Hmm. That sounds like it could get tedious, complicated, and frustrating. I prefer imagination to random dice rolls, I think.

I personally think of them as being for those people who have little to no sexual imagination themselves, but who are open to exploration, just a little; or for people who have gotten their sex lives stuck in a rut, in a ritualized format like Ekaterin and Tien, and want to break out of that. It all went according to plan and practice after that.... She would have preferred an honest silence.

"Hmm, instead of the usual, let's try starting with ... hmm... What in the name of !%&# am I supposed to do with my foot and your arm? Can I re-roll that?"

Hm, I can see the gaming possibilities to that... a chaotic good elf cleric and a lawful evil human mage walk into an inn...

Ahh, you are "Velveeta Shells and Cheese". You are expensive, no
denying this, but it's the price you pay for quality. You
don't even require other food supplies. Water and a pan
is all you need to get by. That silver bag your cheese
comes in looks like something out of the 23rd century, but
it's cool! And those crevices in the shells hold the cheese
so well... You Rock!

Take the What Kind of Macaroni and Cheese Are You? Quiz

Nephew calls it Aggravated Monkey Cheese, because he likes to listen to the Blac Monks; he called it monkey cheese before. Now it's aggravated.

I've never had this kind of monkey cheese, and I'm honestly wondering why the hell I took the quiz. So I could see what I came out as? Not really an excellent use of my time, but I'm awake, and it's a way to fight the headache that was wrecking so much of my day.

The A/C is finally working, thank the gods.

I think of myself as surreal and self-contained, not needing much from people who interact with me in order to get my standard user interface. I think of myself as not being cheap and common, but not being fiendishly expensive, either. Even a broke college student can afford me once in a while. For all my surreality on first glance, I'm surprisingly down-to-earth.

More interesting than the results of the quiz would be perhaps the questions and the choices of answers given, and my choices there. Out of several delightful options, which one do I choose? Out of several unappealing options, which one do I favor? I do market research to get me through college. Each time I read through a survey, I become more and more aware of the nuances to some of them. I'm still perfectly happy to subvert the system, though, to happily enter "Human" when you answer that to my question "Black, white, asian or pacific islander, native american, hispanic." It's a statement, there. I'm all for sending sharp messages to the self-content, self-absorbed dreams of Corporate America. Amerika, following the spellings in Steal This Book.

April Fool!

Adam and I spent the night on the floor. Votania turned on the A/C; it finally works now. There had been some technical difficulties, the office said.

Had my parents meet Darkside. I let them barge into the cafeteria first, by a different door than I usually enter, then came in my usual way. My parents and aunt had already settled at a table. Darkside and I talked for a while, and then I called out "April Fool!" and had them come sit down and get to meet him. That was nice.

Darkside now knows where I get my sense of humor.

FatherSir did touch on one of Darkside's trigger points. Moving around as an Army brat, he had a hard time keeping friends. FatherSir mentioned that. I could feel how much it hurt for him to think about it. I'm sorry, Darkside. I'm going to try and hold on...

In other news, my parents may be helping out with me getting routine dental, optical, and general health checkups in the at least semi-near future. That's a good thing.

I have been motivated to update my webpage some. It's now listed in my profile rather than my slightly defunct deadjournal.

[livejournal.com profile] jdllama does not mind my current school of webdesign; he goes for the minimalist approach. This bodes well for other reviewers. I do not know html hardly at all; what I do know is from poking around in angelfire's editor and looking up stuff for Darkside online, and looking at Very Bad Examples and avoiding the prime mistakes made there.

I hope to get more pictures up, at some point in time. Rocketcat deserves more web coverage.

In honor of April Fool's day, my friend Sparky hath provided linkage. Not all of the links work, but enough do to make it worth some amusement.
