Busted!

That Woman's reputation around her family is rapidly diving. She's burnt her bridges with the friends of the family who are close enough to be brother and sister-in-law to [livejournal.com profile] votania.

We may be picking up another cat, the pretty black bat-cat that I saw around That Woman's house when I was there to help cleanse the place over a year ago. Cat was originally Votania's, but got shipped over to That Woman's place because Grandpa is allergic to cats.

That Woman and her family spent some time living with Votania's brother because of some dumb-ass stuff that lost them their house. While there, Votania's brother and his family learned to see That Woman as she really is.

Hee hee.

Votania's brother's wife did catch That Woman trying to pack some stuff that belonged to the household, and corrected the situation. When That Woman tried to call, regarding the cats? Votania's brother's family failed to pick up the phone, though Votania had been on the phone with them for a good hour that morning...

Hmm.

Busted!

After school, and the oddnesses contained therein, I started for home. I saw [livejournal.com profile] votania and [livejournal.com profile] marxdarx standing with Nephew at the bus stop across the street. They hailed me, and I wandered over and joined them in a pilgrimage to Sam's Club, where [livejournal.com profile] marxdarx got his eyes examined (about damn time!) while the rest of us wandered around like slightly raving lunatics (in my case, at least).

Came home, rested for a while as I recovered from the heat, and then went out with just [livejournal.com profile] votania to Walmart for clothes. Marx had done too much walking the other day, and remained at home in general pain. [livejournal.com profile] digitalambience made plans to go out with [livejournal.com profile] soju and a friend of hers to see The Great Clonefest With Yoda and Evil Sauce.

Votania and I made an epic clothes-shopping trip, resulting in Real Good Clothes, underpants, and extra bras for me, a bathing suit and some pajamas for her, and some shorts for the little guy, plus swimming trunks for Marx.

It was a perfect shopping trip up until the point where we went to leave. You see, we are still bus riders, and it becomes more practical to shove things in backpacks rather than lug multiple shopping bags on the bus. Therefore, Votania decided to employ her backpack ... before, unfortunately, we departed through the doors with their scanners.

Somehow, the clerk had neglected to negate the security tag on something, said something being one of the things that she'd just repacked into backpack. There was door drama, involving the unloading of each particular item, and testing it by waving it through the door scanners. Turned out to be the bathing suit, after a long hassling time of having the door chick and a supervisor grouching at each other over the receipt, and matching item in backpack to item on said document. The shorts for nephew were particularly bothersome, as they'd been on sale, and the entries on the receipt were not quite matched with them. Everything was eventually all squared away, and we departed, resolving to pack things into backpack *outside* after this.

Waiting for the bus was some more fun. It was dark by this time, and that's when the weirdos come out.

The whole expedition reminded me of my trips shopping with DC, back in the day. Lots of fun.

Drunk people on the bus. Bleh.

Finally got home. Dinner was orange chicken takeout, with Phantom of the Opera in the background.

Darkside was watching the Star Wars fan film awards when I called him. I immediately let him go.

Marxdarx ran into the evening version of some of the things I'd dealt with in the morning; as Darkside did to me, so did I do to him. Helped, I hope. Different situations, though.

Found that Phantom of the Opera does different things with my mind than it used to. I need to play the whole thing again, and sing along at the top of my lungs.

And that was my day.

Really having a tough time with my allergies this morning. Time to bite the bullet and take some allergy meds.

Really, knowing that it's allergies makes me feel far happier and healthier, now that I know that it's external environmental factors overtriggering my immune system, rather than me being perpetually weak.

Votania said, "You perv!" to me at one point the other day, not realizing that Nephew was in earshot and in mimic mode. "You burp!" he repeated.

Fortunately, "perv" has remained out of his vocabulary, mostly because Votania has taken up calling me "You burp!" should I do anything that Sam would want to kill me for.

Exhausted

The apartment complex office is rarely ever open. This bites. We have things to be mailed. Evidently I just missed them by appx. five minutes or so.

Tired today. Will crash for a nap now, methinks, and do laundry later.

Spinning?

"Mommy? Can we do ritual now?" --Nephew, while Mommy is on the phone with Grandma

In the interests of cleaning out the refrigerator, I am having a cup of Irish chocolate milk. (Irish cream + milk + chocolate syrup = yum) Unfortunately, it's making me dizzy, more so than usual, mostly because I'm more dizzy to begin with, so I probably have to put it away for now, finish it later.

Sleep has been trying to claim my attention.

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday.

"I'd love to be six again," she replied.

On the morning of her birthday, he got her up bright and early and off they went to a local theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park: the Death Slide, the Screaming Loop, the Wall of Fear - everything there was! Wow! Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park, her head reeling and her stomach upside down.

Right to a McDonald's they went, where her husband ordered her a Big Mac along with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie - the latest Star Wars epic, and hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi Cola and M&Ms. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed. He leaned over and lovingly asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being six again?" One eye opened. "You idiot, I meant my dress size." The moral of this story: Even when the man is listening, he's still gonna get it wrong.

Moral of this story: Always marry a woman who knows how to have fun.

Friday morning, talking about random things. Something triggers a mood of mine.

This time, Darkside lets me grab his hand while he helps me work through some of it. He doesn't hate me for loving him. This is amazing to me. He thinks it would be a good idea for me to change some things in my mind, but the changes would be in my response to stress, and in my dealing with the feelings I have for him. He does not find it an acceptable response for me to go through my mind and stomp up and down on bits of me that I really need, in an effort to stop loving him.

It still amazes me that someone can care about me so much as to not want me to smash my mind into the right shape rather than have me in love with them when they don't love me, nor really welcome my love.

Put more simply? I can love without being hated.

It's a new feeling.

And -- I can love someone I don't hate.
