Yeep, computers.

My floppy drive makes stuttering sounds. This is not a good thing.

This is the first time I'd used it on this install, so I had to install drivers. I cannot remember the last time I used it. It may have been dropped in the interim; I do not know whether or not it had been dropped.

...the fact that it's making a stuttering sound is likewise not good.

I see now that people are using the word "spoiler" to indicate a warning for people who would rather not be exposed to something, rather than the strictly limited warning for people who would rather not be exposed to teasers or other limited information from a piece of media before they have the chance to experience the entire thing in context.

Amazing how the language changes.

I have not got my usual ID on there, as I'd like to remain with my primary online identity relatively anonymous to my co-workers and neighbors, at least as far as connecting my face on the street to my LJ. But then, people on LJ who I spend face-time with generally know my name...
