Things that do not improve my Sunday morning:

• The bane of every monitor is those people who are perfectly professional and great at what they do, but who (for whatever reason) just grate on the nerves. They're doing nothing wrong, so there's nothing to mark them down for, but they're just ... grating.
  
  And they'll be there forever.


• Going into the alternate room that we're using for the day and discovering that the calendars in the booths are from last year and have to be replaced before the phone goons get in is always fun.


• None of the computer issues in that room have been fixed for a couple months, mostly because we haven't been using that room in a few months.


• The guy who was singing "Jesus don't want me for His sunbeam" on the open line did amuse me.


• When the old lady says "You're calling on Sunday! Shame on you!" that's fairly funny. When the phone goon repeats "Shame on you!" and giggles after she's supposedly hung up, that's far less funny from a QA perspective.

*grump*

You know, dude, we'd have a lot more sympathy for your plight if you had said "I know my voice is going to blow by the end of the day at this rate" rather than saying "The respondents can't understand me, my voice is totally gone." Because your supervisor will have you monitored, and while the monitor understand the way you know your body and how your voice is actually going to blow out within a few hours, she will be damn cross that you're claiming that right now the respondents are completely unable to hear you and you should be sent home post-haste to avoid damaging the sample. Because that's an outright lie.

I'm not sure if I'm awake or asleep, quite. Monitoring is not good for keeping me on my toes.

... unless I have the sort of person to monitor who *keeps* me on my toes, that is. ARGH BAD MONITOR REPORTS FOR PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BLOODY WELL KNOW BETTER.

It's one of those weeks. I think I've had too much caffiene today. Maybe. I could be all jittery, except that I'm so tired. At least today is the last day of my work week, and I don't have to go back until Thursday after I get done with today.

Darkside will probably be busy with the root cause analysis database today.

Done monitoring. Got to lecture on the evils of velcro pastede on monitors.
