Ow, my neck
Aug. 21st, 2020 12:55 amI'm nearly all better, but still easily tired and a bit sore.
Sometime about two weeks ago, I slept wrong and woke up with a crick in my neck. It persisted for about a week.
Last Thursday, I was trying to unload some of the boxes from my car into the basement for proper sorting.
Last Friday morning, I slept wrong and woke up with a massive charlie horse in my neck. So massive that when I moved my head at all wrong (which is to say, anywhere to the left) a muscle on that side took exception and seized up and I emitted an involuntary, loud, disturbing shriek.
( An ER trip ensued. )
I spent most of the weekend in bed and asleep. The muscle relaxants did a number on me. Thea, in her role as RSI Prevention Kitty, sat on me more than usual.
I stopped screaming by the third day.
It's been a week, and I'm still a little bit sore, but nearly normal. I'm still weak, and holding my head upright is more difficult than it should be. I ordered a neck brace cushion, which helps when I have to be out and about.
