Put a shuffle in your shoes
Dec. 31st, 2020 08:16 pmToday was a blood draw, routine bloodwork for my routine appointment next week. Except my doctor didn't have the bloodwork ordered until February. Fortunately they're in the same building now, so the phlebotomist left me in the chair and ran over to consult directly. I got my blood drawn.
I got a spite-burger after that. The cashier was wearing a rainbow scarf. "I like your scarf!" "Thanks, it's from my nephew!" I held up my tote bag (small size IKEA rainbow) to demonstrate that I was a rainbow too. It was a Same Hat moment.
I got an extremely adorable mini projector from Belovedest's aunt! After labeling all the component pieces, I decided it was time to make a carrying/storage bag for it, and to set up a thumb drive with some common items on it. I'm not really a "desert island movie" kind of person (I thought), but going through Belovedest's collection, I made sure to grab some Much Ado About Nothing (my desert island play) and The Middleman, as well as other things I wouldn't mind re-watching if I were stuck in an airport with some bored kids.
I am doing the storage bag out of the chunky grass-green yarn that I previously had no idea what I was going to do anything with. So far I have the bottom of the projector compartment and am starting to feel out the dimensions of the walls.
Ev wondered how the Blanky rescue was going, so I updated her and did some more stitching, which was good. No longer feeling quite so guilty.
Amarie wanted a call, and that was lovely. I told the story of the flavored keyboard and the meet-cute.
We're watching the CBC countdown, with orange chicken, rice, and potstickers. 🥟🥟🥟 There's sparkling cider chilling. The 2020 dumpster fire ornament arrived this afternoon and it's on the tree.
