The nasty demon finally pulled out what he thought was a secret winning move: the child we were protecting had the powers of the antichrist and could reverse the final locking-up and destroy everything if he wanted to. He looked expectantly at the child. "But why would I want to?" they asked, and instead of releasing the dreadful weapon they crumpled it like the squished machine with an empty aluminum can, and then it collapsed into Nothing.
