Fun with fabric
Sep. 10th, 2022 12:41 amI decided today's project was trying to sort out the contents of the fabric scraps bin. This was a good idea. Since about 3/4ths of it by volume was mending, I sorted the mending box next.
This is all in service of not having any exposed comfortable surfaces when Pippin lets loose. I mean, is let loose.
I also sewed reinforced center seams in two tank top like objects, turned the edges of one of them from raggedly cut to neatly hemmed, and completely failed to install pockets. Though I did get the legs of the Eeyore Pants hemmed.
A few weeks ago, I'd completely failed to find the cache of whiteboard markers I knew I had (Ev wanted me to bring some) but today I decided to see what was in that plastic takeout box. LO AND BEHOLD. So I proceeded to test every marker in the box by putting some projects up on the whiteboard. Then I labeled the box.
I also put away the bead sorting project into easy to start up again locations. Go, me.
Tomorrow morning is supposed to be a shelf-building day, where I stay TF out of the way (possibly asleep). Then once Ev will be heading back from judo, Belovedest and I will barge up with the dolly, the drill, and an AA battery, there to reinstall light fixtures now that everything is painted.
I need to ping all the waitlist for the doorknobs/etc tomorrow. I'm too tired tonight.
