Yeetings and Defiance
Jul. 18th, 2023 07:43 pmMy aunts have offered to come up to help during treatment. We are figuring out what that means and other details.
New test result dropped in MyChart, and while nobody has discussed the meaning of this with me yet, it seems perfectly clear and obvious that some of the less assertive options for treatment have dropped off the table.
* I'm going to want to get my power chair ready for longer trips out
* That means replacing the batteries
* It also means figuring out how to get it in/on a car in a sensible fashion
* It's 230-270 lbs, depending on battery; I will no longer be available for team lifting for obvious reasons
* The accessibility place around the corner says that Toasters are too small for external trailers.
* It would need to at least be a Class 2 tow hitch, and possibly higher given the unloaded weight of one of those trailers and whatever we're using to secure the thing
* We're looking at stowing the chair in the back of the car, then.
* The chair, fully assembled, does not fit upright into the back of a Toaster. The seat has to come off.
* We might as well use a ramp at this point. Probably the suitcase variety, since we've got 2 cars and, well, the house has steps at all the doorways.
I'm starting to get sticker shock. Sigh.
