Belovedest went to ECCC, per usual. On day 3 they had determined to dress up as Jigglypuff (given that they have an all-pink outfit they could wear). They asked after some means of fastening their Puffs to their outfit.
I sprang into action! I had a mental image of a certain kind of net bag, and how I could implement it quickly. I spent that evening sorting beads, spilling beads all over the floor, and picking up (but not re-sorting) beads. The following day I hunted down different beads, but wound up going with the first beads, and crocheted a simple net bag consisting of a number of cords, joined at strategic places with matte pink beads the same color as the yarn.
I also located sunglasses the right color, punched out some circles the right size, and cut out circles about the other right size, and attached all of that to the sunglasses with some temporary snot-type adhesive.
They were recognizable enough from a distance that our favorite pharmacist noticed them when we compared notes this week.
I'm on a new prescription and it's going okay so far. If anything it's made me a little more hangry, but less so than an edible does.
Tomorrow Alex has a thing, and I have (foolishly?) booked myself an early appointment to see about my stupid wrist pain, which has been going on for more than a week and started when I slept on the stupid thing.
