Hooray for Ben & Jerry's!
Oct. 14th, 2005 01:47 pmI called the (toll applicable) number listed on the Ben & Jerry's website, left a message with Consumer Affairs stating my name, number, and the problem.
Consumer Affairs called back, and had cross-checked with people, and there had been an error (either computer or human) that led to some people who'd preferred not to get e-mails about other products getting them. Ben & Jerry's has been owned by Unilever for 5 years now. I understand about errors. That sort of thing happens. It's how they're handled that makes the difference.
She took down my name and snail address, and let me know that I'd be getting a coupon in the mail. Hooray coupons! Hooray friendly and efficient customer service people!
