Boxing Day
Dec. 26th, 2005 11:58 amIt's shaping up to be a very lazy Monday. I woke up early, checked the time, and zonked back out. There's no clock in the Cupboard Under the Stairs, and no electrical outlets, so when the cellphone is on charge cycle, it's not in there with me. So it's a very timeless little room. I wound up waking up at some dreadful hour, seeing how very dark it was, and freaking out enough so that I got up, turned my light on, and eventually turned the stair light on so I could sleep in peace with the security of being able to orient myself should I wake up again. I'm not used to this place and finding the little lights in it, and I get claustrophobia easily enough.
Dogs seem to be back now.
Earlier,
raranax was practicing with his brand-new bullwhip, trying to whip a napkin off a chair. I was very tempted to take pictures so that those that way inclined on my friends list could appreciate -- erg, what was Lois's phrase about Roic at the end of ACC? In any case, he was doing all this whipping while shirtless, which is probably not the best safety measure to take when playing with a bullwhip without much experience.
There is snow outside, to the tune of a few inches. Snow is good. Snow is not my cup of tea, being as I'm still ill and don't want to push my luck with my lungs.
I will be getting snow photos, probably sometime today, after I decide to brave the Outdoors.
Life is good. 70% chocolate is good. The current book shortage is bad. I should remedy the situation somehow. Perhaps I should tag along on the next Trip to Town.
