When V told Adam that he should have sex with me? It was a test of his loyalty to her. He evidently failed it. She told him she was uncomfortable with his having sex with me.

Now she says he should date me.

I feel it only reasonable to suspect that if he and I date, and are still dating by the time she returns in three months and a bit, that she would tell him that she flatly refuses to have sex with him while he's dating another woman.

...I wish I could say I were paranoid.

He's pretty torn up about this.

I did call Darkside and we talked for a while. The concept of getting together for movies, *not* as a date, would depend on the movie. He's actually ambivalent about Spiderman. There's got to be something he wants to see, though...

She has tampered with his attitudes about sex. I'm really furious now. Somehow, someway, karma will kick her ass. Maybe I will too.

[02:14] Crisavec: kill her
[02:14] Azure Lunatic: I really want to.
[02:14] Crisavec: me too
[02:14] Azure Lunatic: She leaves in seven days.
[02:15] Crisavec: for?
[02:16] Azure Lunatic: Home.
[02:16] Azure Lunatic: For three months.
[02:16] Crisavec: where is home?
[02:16] Azure Lunatic: Evidently she's here for ... gods, I don't know what. Missouri.
[02:16] Azure Lunatic: With little to no contact with him.
[02:17] Crisavec: my advice to adam is to say goodbye when she leaves...and not talk to her agaon
[02:18] Azure Lunatic: Sounds like a good idea.
[02:18] Crisavec: tell him i said so....

she keeps manipulating him.....I personaly would NOT tolerate that
[02:20] Azure Lunatic: Unfortunately, he regards her as his best friend.
[02:20] Azure Lunatic: Ha.
[02:20] Crisavec: even thoough she manipulates him left and right?

For some odd reason (probably involving a scholarship) a friend of mine ended up at Baylor college in Waco his freshman year. Very baptist college.

One night he hears screams coming from a room down the hall. Everyone gets up to investigate. People are lining up in the halls with really curious looks going in, and really scared shitless looks walking out of the room.

When it's his turn to see what the fuss was about, he sees that a former resident had painted an inverted pentacle on the wall in phosphorous paint that couldn't be seen under normal light.

But the new residents had bought a black light that afternoon.......

He had a hard time keeping a straight face as he walked out.

First, pouncing Adam really does make him sleep better.

Second, even casual business interview attire is approximately four layers of clothing.

Third, my interview shoes hate sidewalks, and sidewalks hate them.

4. McDonald's no longer entirely agrees with my digestion.

5. It is unwise to randomly ride around buses in an unfamiliar town without resorting to the bus guide when scheduled for an interview soon.

6. It was a good idea to look up their address online beforehand.

Interview

Well, I'm at least being considered for the job. The guy I was interviewing with was younger than my mother, with pictures of kids (probably his) on his desk, polo shirt, slacks, security badge.

The job would be coordinating and preparing for presentation data on machine functionality. This company constructs some of the machines that are used in making semiconductors. They say "Intel : semiconductors :: Microsoft : software :: them : semiconductor construction machinery".

The guy is using Excel, Excel, to keep track of the information for seven categories of machines in about nine different locations, fifty or more machines of each type.

He needs me.

Since my commute would be so long if hired, they would probably issue me a laptop rather than a desktop so that I could telecommute. We have DSL. They have a VPN. I am a night owl.

Of course, there are several other people being considered for the position, but I think I caught his attention. I mentioned Livejournal to him (not by name, but the concept), which surprised him. He wanted examples of my writing and communications. I spoke of the time I got a Christian and a Pagan communicating with each other successfully within three minutes when they'd been trying to communicate with each other for two hours without success. I spoke of the disaster with Slackerprep on the business project, how we pulled it off at the eleventh hour. I used my work experience with RI to illustrate my good attitude under all circumstances.

I do have issues with focus -- I don't always know where to apply microfocus, where to macrofocus.

I try to make things I consider problems sound like they could be used as assets by the company.

It'll take about a week and a half to get a background check run through. I would have my own desk. The view is beautiful.

There was a storm as I was about to leave, blowing and spitting rain and hurling dust and lashing about those trees with the lovely blue flowers. I love those trees, those flowers. (I'm probably allergic to them.) He had me call home to check in to let them know I was on my way so I'd have someone to worry about me if I didn't show up, because some girls on campus were attacked.

Nice guy.

I am enthralled by the technology.
