And that's all he wrote.
Feb. 15th, 2003 06:40 amFor now, at least.
http://www.ironycentral.com/babymain.html has wrapped up. Cordelia's first year is over, and good gods, what an interesting year to read about. I'm not really a parent, but I can appreciate this...
I'll check back from time to time to see if there's anything new there, but it's going off my list of current bookmarks.

1. Explain why you started to journal/blog.
I started a journal on the day the Gulf War started, because I'd been reading Rilla of Ingleside far too much. I started my LJ because I already kept a journal, and several of my online buddies mentioned LJ as a nifty place of much niftiness.
2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not?
templeravenmoon is the household LJ. I include the link to my LJ in my sig with every e-mail I send to my grandmother, sister, aunts, and uncles. My mother and father do not know where it is, as I write about bits of my life that they'd rather not share as much as I'd rather not share those with them. The people who do know where it is hear all about my life anyway, and this is a way for them to watch.
My blonder half does not view my LJ, though he's been invited to repeatedly; he doesn't go for reading other people's diaries.
3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog?
Other than "I'm an outsane ranting Lunatic, nice to meet you too"? Nope.
4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year?
Improved quality of writing. I am a writer. This is what I do.
5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs.
At the moment:
iroshi,
sithjawa,
rainstorm13,
gremliness,
shadesong. List tends to vary by activity and interests, both mine and theirs. (Though those first two are pretty constant.)

I have two interesting opt-in filters that give a little more content in my journal. They are BDSM and Witchy. These are mostly for my comfort that I do not babble something very technical of non-interest (or anti-interest) to a general audience.
BDSM explores some of my thoughts/enthusiasms on the topic, and the squicked by the concept can avoid opting in and therefore will never stumble across anything interesting. (People who list BDSM in their interests list tend to get added by default.) If you're not in, or not sure if you're in, and want in, say so; if you think you might have gotten in and don't want to be in, by all means let me know. (I tend to mark special-filter posts "# = BDSM", so it's hard to miss them.)
My experiences are still very vanilla, and I doubt I'll ever get very heavily into the 'scene', but... eh, it's fun. And... !!!
The Witchy filter generally gets used for details that I'm not comfortable talking to the mundane public about. Qualifications for entry: a general interest/curiousity in the topic, and a lack of being flamey. Questions, even critical ones, are all OK. "YUO R ALL G0ING T0 H3LL U STOOPID DEVAL WHORSHIPPORS" is not. More witchy stuff goes out of the filter than BDSM stuff goes out of that filter; it's a matter of degree. There's so little of the one, and so much of the other... Apply if you want. Weird Stuff abounds.

Care to bend your brain? No cheating.

I'm so tired I'm feeling nauseated, and my body's running on empty.
I got woken up at midnight last night by my phone ringing. I need to turn that thing OFF when I go to sleep. I wasn't able to go back to sleep until 7 in the morning... my insomnia bites.
Haven't had the energy or the focus to eat properly today, and it's showing. I feel horrible. I need sleep.
