Big fucking milestone!
Jun. 27th, 2013 01:41 amDOMA was struck down. Prop 8 was returned to Judge Walker's smackdown.
I got about two hours of sleep, so I was awake when the decisions came in. I logged a couple hours of work while I was up, then took a nap.
Then I headed out to the Castro.
I had done that thing where I make Very Ambitious Plans the night before, but this time I followed through a little better than usual. Yay energy. ( Crafting & prep. )
Wearing my rainbow scarf tied to my belt, my Sparkly Awesome necklace (new for the occasion, put together from those rainbow fluorite beads I've been meaning to do something with, plus some transparent rainbow-"aura" beads), and my Pride Hat, I headed off via the 28 and M to Castro Street Station, where I eventually met up with JD and some of the Gaymers.
It was big. It was loud. There was a lot of milling around and chattering and waving signs and taking pictures and smiling at everybody. I cut a striking figure, and no few people snapped pictures of me/with me.
JD's plan for afterwards included dinner and Frameline. I was up for that, so that we did, via some muni-ing around. It was lovely fun, and then we went back on BART. I was craving a chocolate milkshake all of a sudden, so I grabbed one on the way home.
